HSS Donations and Volunteer Work

Your tax-deductible contributions will help us rescue and care for these beautiful dogs.

Please mail your tax-deductible check or money order to the address in the sidebar. Encourage your friends, families, and co-workers to make us one of their charities. We will send a note and tax receipt for donors' records. Have your Randall's Card programmed to our charity number 8533. Also call us for Kroger Share Cards. Additionally, when you shop on line through IGive, a percentage of your purchase is paid directly to Houston Sheltie Sanctuary. Click on the graphic below and look for your favorite merchants; then click through to them from IGive, and you will automatically be helping our Shelties while you enjoy your shopping.

Our immediate needs for donations include cash, checks, or money orders: you could make annual / bi-annual donations or as little as $5 or $10 month which would add up to saving a life per donor every year. Our other current needs include foods (quality dry foods like Pro Plan, Iams, Nutro, Science etc.), treats, leashes and collars (especially choke or greyhound collars), toys, flea and heartworm preventatives, shampoos (especially for coat and skin re-conditioning for many of the Shelties who have been outside for weeks or months), crates for confining dogs with heartworm disease or going through house training, and pet store coupons you may have collected.

We also desperately need foster homes and drivers willing to help with transports of our dogs from shelters to clinics, or to meet foster homes with the rescued dog.
