Derry is an OR for personal reasons. He is 7 years old, 15" is now down to 30 pounds (we'll continue to work on that), UTD, neutered and HW/fecal -.
An update from Derry's foster mom:

Derry is a beautiful, super sweet boy who is extremely timid. He prefers closed in, cozy, hiding places. He has recently found, though that the couch isn't such a scary place and spends a lot of time there. I can usually approach him there, and he will stay if I sit or lie down with him. He is a good cuddler. He is not confrontational and likes being brushed. He is housetrained, good with other dogs, cats and people but won't approach them. He is very reluctant to be outside but walks quite well on a leash. If I am visiting with a neighbor while on a walk, he will lie calmly at my feet and allow folks to pet him. Derry is making progress each day and coming out of his shell - a bud about to flower into a handsome happy fellow! Are you the person who will guide him?

Mandy is an OR for personal reasons. She is 3 years old (DOB 6/21/08), 18 inches, is now down to a svelte and statuesque 36 pounds, UTD, spayed, HW/fecal -.
An update from Mandy's foster mom: Mandy has conquered her fear of noises, but willingly wears her Thundershirt during a storm. She sings for her breakfast and fear of eating with the other dogs has disappeared. When she rides in the car she readily jumps right in and goes into the crate which we always use.....for security and safety. Mandy does bark to warn of activity outside the house but she is not "yappy".

We have learned that she prefers being walked on her leash, which she does beautifully, just a short distance to do her "duty". Mandy likes to be brushed, bathed with a spray in the shower and have her teeth brushed. She is happy to spend her day in her favorite protected place in the house but no longer retreats to her crate. She is quite willing to stay in her crate when the situation warrants it. She comes to join when there is something going on, and always is under the table while I'm using the computer.

She is friendly with dogs, our cat, people and children she meets while on walks. Mandy has come a long way from the uncertain girl who came to us a few months ago. Our focus here has been to let her know she is loved and can trust. She will benefit from being with someone who is understanding of dogs and can encourage her to succeed along the way.
