Piper is a found stray. She is ~9-10 years old, 15 inches, overweight at 30 pounds, heartworm/fecal negative and now UTD, spayed and has had a much needed dental. Piper has a mild heart murmur for which we had a cardiac ultrasound performed; the radiologist confirms that it is not at a stage that needs treatment at this time. She is medication for her arthritis, as well as a diet, as the increased weight puts strain on her joints.
An update from Piper's foster mom: Piper is a lovely lady who enjoys being with humans and the resident Shelties. She is house trained and travels well in the car. Piper had been previously shaved (poorly) but her coat is already looking better with good food. She likes to be brushed and is never far from one of her foster parents. Piper has arthritis and moves a little slowly, but she’s on arthritis medication and her ability to move about is improving daily. She’d make someone a great companion.
