Roxy is an OR due to family circumstances. She is 7 years old, 15 inches, 28.8 pounds (needs to lose a few), now UTD, spayed, heartworm/fecal negative.
An update from Roxy's foster mom: Roxy is one of the sweetest, friendliest, happiest dogs you'll ever meet. It is rare for her tail not to be wagging. She loves to be loved on and will always greet you with a smile and a tail wag. She will even nudge you for more attention. She is Ms. Personality.
Roxy is being fostered with 4 other shelties (boys and girls) and gets along great with all of them. She doesn't play too much with them as she is usually looking for human interaction more than canine interaction but everyone gets along very well. When outside she interacts more with the rest of the pack. They chase squirrels and run the fence line with the neighbor dogs and she follows suite most of the time. It took her 1 week before she ever barked and even then it was so short lived she didn't continue. She will occasionally quietly talk at feeding time as she loves her food. She even dances when it is time to eat. Food or a treat, this girl loves them all!
She has been around a cat once as well as dogs that weren't Shelties and nothing fazed her. She has had some interaction with children and she was excellent when she was around them. She is potty trained and crate trained. She did recently decide the sofa is a great spot to lay though and was very proud of herself for that discovery.
By day 4 I received my first Roxy kiss. They are quick and few but super sweet. Roxy is great when eating, not the least but aggressive. She takes treats very gently and doesn't take your fingers off.
Overall, Roxy is an amazing dog. Anyone will be lucky to have this girl. She's a doll and will love you dearly!
